Leo: Why Your Life Sucks and How to Fix It
Disclaimer: This is not a post to trash Leos. I’ve written about other signs here, so everyone gets tough love. Leos are amazing and I’m definitely not trying to drag you! In fact, let me know if you are one:

While you have a lot of great traits, you also have some negative ones (we all do!) that might be contributing to the pickle you’re in. Here are some things to consider if you’re in a tough spot:
1). You’re doing the most
Look up “extra” in the dictionary, Leo. Your pic is there. You go far above and beyond in all situations, which is usually great. However, sometimes less is more. You don’t need to send 70 roses when a dozen will do. You don’t need to do the entire group project (and you shouldn’t).
I know it’s scary to do less, but a beautiful thing happens when you start: People start to show you who they are and what they can do. It turns out, you don’t always have to be the first one to text! People can take care of their own responsibilities (and if they don’t, that’s not your problem)!
The solution: It’s hard to stop overworking, especially if you’re afraid of the results. Start by writing out what you have to get done, including all of the extra things. Now, take a pen and cross out the ones you aren’t actually responsible for. How do you feel? It’s okay if you feel scared, but you might find that you feel lighter and more free.
2). You’re not listening to smaller voices
Leo is usually the loudest in the room, but there are introverts (ahem) who have something to add. These people might not feel brave enough to speak up, or might keep their thoughts to themselves. You’ll benefit from these other experiences, so it’s worth listening!
This can also apply to YOU, dear Leo. If you’re an introvert, you probably feel at odds with your sign at times. Or, you may simply carry out orders without stopping to listen to your own, quiet inner voice. Pay attention to the softer sounds, they often have the info you need!
The solution: If you haven’t heard from someone in a while, check in with them. If someone hasn’t spoken in the group, ask for their opinion. This will bring more of a balance to your work, and will also help you with #1 above. When you let other people speak, you give them space to handle their own tasks. This will take extra responsibility off your hands!
3). You’re reacting too fast
Life can be a blur for Leos. While a quick-thinking mind is certainly an asset, you can jump into decisions without considering all possibilities. It might go against everything you stand for, but take a day or two to think.
The solution: Pause. Do not take action yet. Ground and center yourself, meditate, and maybe even consult the I Ching or runes about what to do next. Write about it. Breathe.
If you’ve already made a snap decision, you may be considering another one to fix the situation. Hold on. Take some time to consider all options and possibilities.
4). You’re hogging the spotlight
We get it, Leo, you’re a star. No one is arguing with you there. However, are you forgetting others’ contributions? Are other people overshadowed by your light?
Another thing to consider is that you don’t always need to be solo. Sometimes a duet or trio can take the load off of your shoulders and give you room to breathe. Allow people to help you, and allow people to shine in their own way.
The Solution: Absolutely keep being your beautiful rockstar self! You deserve it (and so do your adoring fans). However, take a look offstage for a second. Who has been waiting in the wings? Can you bring them with you into the spotlight for a bit?
Also, give yourself permission to rest! Performing nonstop will take a toll on anyone, and you’ve done more than enough work to allow yourself some time off.
5). You’re holding onto your pride
Pride, haha, get it? Lion?? I’m here all night, folks. Leos care a great deal about reputation, and you may be holding onto something to maintain a sense of pride. You may stay in a bad marriage because you fear the same of divorce. You might stay in a job you hate because the title is impressive. If you’ve hated your life for a while, it’s time to reconsider what’s working and what isn’t.
The Solution: In this situation, the “why” game will help you. Ask yourself why you’re afraid to lose your reputation here. For example:
“I’m afraid to quit my job.”
Why?
“I don’t want to be seen as a failure.”
Why?
“Because I believe failure is bad.”
Why?
“Because I was punished as a child for failing.”
Why?
“Because my dad took his failures out on me.”
The further you go with this, the closer you’ll get to the real answer. Your reputation is based on many things, Leo, and people will love you no matter what. People will also judge you no matter what, so it may be time to say screw your reputation and put yourself first.
