Moonstone has a wide variety of colors and categories, so I need to specify that this post is specifically about white moonstone:

There are also Peach Moonstone, Rainbow Moonstone, Blue Moonstone, and probably others but those are the most common I’ve seen. I will work with all of them at some point, but my experiment this week will focus on the white variety.
Each color of Moonstone is said to do something slightly different, but they are alike in that they all draw in the moon’s power.
Moonstone can help you tap into your intuition and power. It is also said to improve your love life, make decisions, and ‘find your inner Goddess.’ I’m all about that, but if you don’t identify with that, you can choose any of the other traits and focus on those.
This article is a great piece on how Moonstone helps and how to use it.
The History of Moonstones
Ancient Romans believed that Moonstones were frozen moonlight. Between 1890 and 1910, it was popular Art Nouveau jewelry. While Moonstones are frequently pictured and sold as having a sparkly sheen to it, the white version I have is not sparkly at all. It’s surprising how many varieties there are.
It seems that Moonstone jewelry is often tumbled or shaved/carved to make it more sparkly and opalescent, while Moonstone you find at crystal stores is more natural.

If you’re not sure which variety to get (and unlike me, you have self control and won’t buy them all), this site breaks down what each color does. You can buy moonstone earrings here if you love the look! Here is a beautiful moon-child necklace I have my eye on as well.
Moonstone is found pretty much worldwide. It is the Florida state gemstone, but it is not actually found in Florida.
My Plan:
In a weird coincidence, my YouTube recommendations the last few days have been about “finding (or unleashing) your inner goddess.” That is exactly what I plan to do.
For the next week, I will be working intensely with my two White Moonstones. They were the last two left at the crystal store, and I felt bad leaving one alone. They seem to like being together:

I will be meditating, doing yoga, journaling (which I will post here) and carrying them with me. My final results will go out next week, so please subscribe if you’re curious!
If you want to see other crystals I’ve worked with, so far I’ve done Cinnabar and Fluorite.

If you want to work with crystals yourself, I have a free crystal worksheet you can use:
