Angelite is a stone I’ve wanted to work with for a while now, so I’m excited to jump in! I discovered this stone with a friend at a local crystal store. A store employee approached us with several various crystals in her hand. She asked us to each pick one and she would tell us something about us. I was immediately drawn to the Angelite, probably because it looked just like a piece of candy in her hand:

To be perfectly honest, I do not remember a single thing she said it meant about me. I remember thinking, “wow, that’s so true!” and I bought that piece of Angelite, but my dumb ADHD brain forgot to write down what she said.
At a different crystal store, I was drawn again to Angelite before I knew what it was. They were sitting in a nameless bowl and I immediately went to them. When I found out what they were, I exercised a rare amount of self-control and told myself I’d work with the one I have first, before buying more. If my experiment goes well this week, I will definitely be buying more of them.
What is Angelite and What Does it Do?

Angelite was discovered in Peru in 1987, so it hasn’t been around (or known) for a long time. This is different from other crystals (such as Moonstone) (link) which were used in ancient Greek and Roman history.
Since Angelite is so “new,” the knowledge about it tends to be a little vague. As with all crystals, it has a long list of things it’s supposed to do:
- Calms the mind and helps anxiety
- Help remove road blocks
- Connect you to your guardian angels
The latter is the most common, I think simply because it’s named “Angelite.” I honestly don’t know if I believe in angels. I think it’s possible, but I think anything is possible. I guess I might find out this week.
My favorite description of Angelite, however, comes from Tess Whitehurst, who said in her book, “Art of Bliss:”
What grabbed me about this was the “being at the right place at the right time” thing. I feel like this happens to me 50% of the time and I’d like to focus more heavily on that. I also struggle with anxiety and would like to meet my angels, so why not try?
The Plan

This week I will work with Angelite closely, recording my daily happenings here. I will report honestly on what happened, good, bad or nothing at all.
I will work with Angelite in the following ways:
- Meditating with it (there are a BUNCH of Angelite meditations on YouTube)
- Journaling
- Hiking (weather permitting)
- Yoga
- Carrying it with me daily
- Try to contact my angels?? Idk. I don’t know how to even do that. Maybe I’ll look into it.
If you want to work with a crystal thoroughly, I have a free worksheet you can use to get to know your crystal! Grab it here:

If you want your own Angelite to work with, here is a link to order one online. You can also order a larger, touchstone piece here. I know it’s tough to order crystals online, but sometimes it’s fun to see what you get and you can stay socially distant!

If you want to follow along and work with your own Angelite, please do! You can join us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest. You can also pin this to come back to it later. Let me know how you use Angelite and what you think of it!
